FAMILY PROFILE OR NARRATIVE
For many clients who make the decision to commission a professional researcher to investigate their family history, it is the Family Tree Chart that will eventually adorn a wall in their home, which they hold in their imagination. Of course, the family tree chart is very important as it provides an instant visual picture of ones ancestral associations. However, only a certain amount of information can be placed upon this document and it is the family narrative, which serves the purpose of conveying the family story in more detail. The family narrative is a unique profile of your ancestors set in the context of historical events of the period while also reflecting the social conditions in which they lived. It is the family story, the record of events set against a backdrop of local, regional and national events.
This document is produced and bound using top quality paper or alternatively dispatched by e-mail in either a word-processed document or as an Adobe Acrobat file; if preferred, the same files can be sent to you on disk.
FAMILY TREE CHARTS
Our Family Tree Charts are prepared and printed on calligraphic paper using specialist historical scripts and can be produced in two chart sizes, either 330mm x 482mm or the smaller A3 size of 297mm x 420mm. In addition to a Family Tree Chart being printed we can also provide the document as an Adobe Acrobat file for storing and viewing on a personal computer. This is one aspect of our service for which we are able to provide you with a preview. Please click on the links below to view or download a variety of Family Tree Charts, you will need to have the Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your computer, which is freely available to download from the Adobe web site - see the link below. If you already have the Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your computer please ensure that it is at least version 4 as you may encounter difficulties with earlier versions.
Yorkshire Family History will be delighted to prepare Family Tree Charts based upon a client's own research; please see Our Fees page for separate terms.
