As a research company, Yorkshire Family History has evolved out of twenty-five years of genealogical investigative experience, in addition to many years of associated teaching activity at colleges throughout Yorkshire on the subject of family history and genealogical research methodology.

Our proficiency is distinguished by the approach we give to our chosen profession and this is exemplified in the way in which we deal with our clients. Recreational or amateur researchers working from the dining room table, we are not. Neither do we use lightly, the term professional, simply to indicate that we will charge a fee for genealogical services. We use the term strictly, to indicate that in all respects, our work will meet professional standards. We subscribe to the belief that adherence to high values concerning the quality of our work is of paramount importance and our primary goal is to meet or surpass the expectations of our clients.

WHY WE ARE THE FIRST CHOICE IN YORKSHIRE

Over the years Yorkshire Family History has accumulated a research library that is quite unrivaled; as a consequence, we are able to conduct a considerable amount of ongoing research by means of our extensive in-house records and facilities. For you our client this of course translates into a larger proportion of your fee being expended upon actual research activity and less upon the travel and time costs associated with accessing the various locality archive departments. It is however inevitable, that during the course of a research assignment, we will require access to these archival repositories and it is at this point that the importance of our central location within the county becomes of crucial benefit to our clients.

OUR LOCATION

Our research premises are situated at the very heart of the glorious county of Yorkshire, where convergence of the boundaries, which border the three ancient Yorkshire ridings takes place, at the beautiful city of York. Our central location provides us with excellent access to all the major record repositories of the county. The front-page location map will provide you with an overview of the major archival towns and cities within the county.
