RESEARCH PROJECTS
We at Yorkshire Family History are committed to serving you, our client, irrespective of the extent to which you decide to commission our services; whether it is an in depth research project delving into multiple family lines or the consultation of a single document. We want you to be completely satisfied with our professional research service and we take great pride in our proven ability to provide just that - a Professional Research Service.
Each research assignment is tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients and we go out of our way from the outset to determine your precise requirements. When you make the decision to commission a research project with Yorkshire Family History you will be advised of an approximate date by which you can expect to obtain the results of your research. Our reporting process also ensures that you are kept informed about how your research is progressing.
If you have chosen to commission an in depth research project, typically when this is complete you will receive a large copy of your family tree, printed on calligraphy paper and suitable for framing. Examples of these can be viewed on your computer; please see the link on our Family Trees page. Additionally and importantly, you will also receive a family history profile in a narrative form; this will be accompanied with all the research documentation obtained during the course of your research project and this might include any or all of the following:
A unique profile of your family in a narrative style, set against a backdrop of the historical events of the period and reflecting the social conditions in which they lived.
Copies of all appropriate birth, marriage and death certificates, census returns and such like.
Copies of other historical material, depending upon our discoveries, for example wills, administrations and property deeds.
A report including full citations of the documented sources consulted on your behalf.
Recommendations for further research, where appropriate.
